Art of Science-Jasmine Murrell at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with Dr. Scott Lowe

Art of Science at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

My sister, Artist Jasmine Murrell visits Dr. Scott Lowe’s lab at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to learn about colon cancer as part of the Ligo Project Art of Science program. Dr. Scott Lowe is a member of Cancer Biology and Genetics Program, chairman of the Geoffrey Beene Cancer Research Center, and professor, Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.

Lab members Kevin O’Rourke and Luke Dow explain colon cancer and demonstrate processes that the lab uses to learn about and fight colon cancer.

The Ligo Project Art of Science program aims to make science more accessible to all, using art to do just that – combining the two disciplines to explore questions that affect us all!
