Chairman Dr. William D. Murrell gave his opening remarks for the 3rd and last day of the 10th Middle-East Orthopaedic Conference. The last day focused on Foot and Ankle, led by Professor Alvin Crawford and Professor Shah Alam Khan and followed by lectures given by Dr. Ayman Tardos Senior Specialist, Orthopaedic, Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Dr. Ihab Marwan Abbas Orthopaedic Specialist, Al Ain Hospital, Al Ain, UAE, Professor Nicola Maffulli FFSEM Professor of Sports and Exercise Medicine Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, Queen Mary University of London Centre for Sports and Exercise Medicine, Mile End Hospital, London, UK, Dr. Ravi Mittal Professor All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, Dr. Shital Parikh Orthopaedic Surgeon(Sports Medicine), Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
Session on Minimally Invasive Foot and Ankle led by Professor Sandro Giannini and Dr. Ravi Mittal, followed by lectures given by Professor Nicola Maffulli, Professor Sandro Giannini, Dr. Lorenzo Andaloro Consultant, Foot Clinic of Florence, Florence, Italy. This was followed with General Session with talks given by Dr. Neil Friedman , MB ChB, Center for Pediatric Neurology, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and Dr. Edward Glaser Independent Researcher, Lyles, Tennessee, USA.
Afternoon session on Pediatric and Adolescent Foot Reconstruction were led by Professor Alvin Crawford and Professor Shah Alam Khan, with lectures given by Dr. Zaid Al Aubaidi Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE and Dr. Edward Glaser Independent Researcher, Lyles, Tennessee, USA.
Again all sessions were followed with robust Q & A, and just the right amount of controversial topics.
